EU Staff for Peace”, a spontaneous group of EU civil servants organized as private citizens in their personal capacity an Interfaith Evening of Prayer for Peace in Palestine and the World to create a space of unity, compassion, and reflection that transcends cultural and religious differences. In the European working environment—by nature multicultural, multireligious, and multiethnic—diversity is not only a reality but a richness that strengthens dialogue and cooperation.

We are moved to act in light of the grave suffering endured by the Palestinian people: mass displacement, widespread destruction of homes, hospitals, schools, and starvation imposed by blockade, with many thousands killed or injured—among them children, women, the elderly.

United Nations inquiries and experts have confirmed that a genocide is ongoing in Gaza, noting intent, conditions causing serious harm, obstructed access to humanitarian aid, and systemic destruction of basic infrastructure. By bringing together people of diverse faith traditions, this initiative seeks to bear witness, foster solidarity, promote mutual understanding, and affirm a shared commitment to peace and human dignity in these harrowing times of conflict and suffering.
