Unraveling Social Security, Exclusion from Unemployment…
Reflection Morning – House of Compassion
We are deeply concerned about recent government decisions and their consequences for the most vulnerable people. The dismantling of social security, as well as the announced exclusions from unemployment at the end of this year, worry us greatly.
In this context, and following our actions in September and October, we propose a new stage of reflection and exchange on social and justice issues, with the aim of continuing our work of awareness-raising and mobilization.
📅 Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025 🕚 Time: 11:00 – 13:00 📍 Place: House of Compassion / Beguinage Church 👉 Exceptionally, the meeting will take place in the heated premises of Het Anker (Marcqstraat 25, 1000 Brussels)
✨ A “two-voice” encounter
We will have the honor of welcoming:
- Bert Engelaar, General Secretary of the FGTB
- Christine Mahy, General Secretary of the Walloon Network Against Poverty
Their analyses and commitments will intersect to foster a collective reflection on the struggles against poverty, discrimination, and the dismantling of social security.
🍲 A convivial moment
After the discussion, we will share a convivial time around the solidarity soup prepared by Father Daniel Alliet.
🌍 Practical information
- Everyone will speak in their own language, with simultaneous translation provided.
