
Who are you locking up?
The launch of the “Who are you locking up?” campaign will take place on Saturday, April 5 at House of Compassion, from 11:00 to 13:00. This event will focus on migration, particularly the issue of detaining people without residence permits in closed centers.
Program:
- 11:00 – Introduction by Staf Peeters, presenting the NRV network, the Jubilee Year of Hope, and the campaign.
- 11:15 – Geneviève Frère from House of Compassion will introduce the speakers.
- 11:20 – Testimony by Zana Hanafi, human rights activist, about his migration journey to Belgium / “Change” program by JRS Belgium.
- 11:45 – Break and musical interlude by Paul Takahashi.
- 12:00 – Ruben Bruynooghe, lawyer and visitor at the Caricole transit center, and coordinator of the JRS Belgium visitors’ team.
- 12:15 – Francine Esther Kouablan, MRAX.
- 12:30 – Discussion with the audience.
- 13:00 – Solidarity meal, to which everyone is warmly invited.
