Revolution Café

Bringing about a societal transformation, it sometimes seems like an impossible task. But what if a critical minority of people do what they can? Then you get a 25% revolution!

During Café Revolutionary you will discover what exactly a 25% revolution is. We will watch inspiring stories from the documentary “The 25% Revolution” by Broederlijk Delen. Afterwards, we will have a direct dialogue with people who are initiating change in Brussels and far beyond.

  • Inspiration from abroad:

Cinturón Occidental Ambiental is a sustainability school in Colombia where you can learn about local plants and animals. They map the threats and discover how they can help take care of their community and nature. Sara and her mother Sandra from Colombia are campaign guests of Broederlijk Delen and come to introduce the initiative.

Youth against Settlements is a Palestinian organization that trains local families in the use of cameras as well as educating a wide audience of Israeli citizens, European diplomats and tourists about history and politics. Mohanad is a sports journalist and commentator at Palestine Sport TV. He is also a member of the steering committee of Youth against Settlements. Mohanad is also a guest of Broederlijk Delen during the Lenten campaign.

  • Inspiration from Brussels:

Parcelle Fruits-Dupuis is a collective vegetable garden in Anderlecht. Neighbors joined forces to practice permaculture together with support from the Brussels region. Isabelle explains how the project came about. A source of inspiration for the Beguinage neighbourhood?

The Jardinier Forum is a group of people who work to preserve precious pieces of nature in Brussels, such as the fallow land Josaphat, Donderberg, Moeras Wiels and the edge of the Sonian Forest. Alessia and Christina tell us about the importance of nature in the city, the activities that different collectives organize and how to get involved.

Café Révolutionair is organized in collaboration with Broederlijk Delen.
